The Registry:

The Windows Registry contains HKeys, or “Hives” of folders. There are five HKeys for the hardware, the software and the users. Mama says DO NOT EDIT the Registry unless you KNOW what you are doing..

Here, in the Sandbox, we promote innovative developments that make life with computers better. One of the best features that was ever included in an operating system is Windows XP’s new Restore function.

Did you register that?
Windows has a Registry of all of the changes you made since you first set up your computer. Every time you make a change in the Control Panel, that change is saved in the Registry. If you used the Control Panel to make the mouse move slower and the video display larger, that’s stored in the Registry. When you Add or Remove a program, that information is saved, too.
