Do The Windows Updates
The best way
to protect your PC is to update your Windows operating system. In 2002,
Microsoft redirected their resources and talent to finding the
vulnerabilities and security leaks in their software products. The
Trustworthy Computing initiative was prompted by the rise in hackers who
searched for holes in the software that they could exploit.
Windows XP and Millennium will prompt you to update your software. The
balloon pops up every time you log onto your computer. Don’t ignore the
reminders. It is essential that you “patch” your operating system.
If you are not prompted to update your system, you can go to:
www.microsoft.com. Look on the
left hand side of the Microsoft Home page for the link to Windows Update
