The Security Center
Microsoft, as
part of their trust-worthy computing initiative, added the Security
Center to Windows XP when they released Service Pack 2.
The
Security Center gathers information about your defenses in one
command console. Now, you can quickly check the status of the
firewall, Windows updates, and virus protection.
When you
install the Security Center, your Internet
Privacy and Security are set high:
Trust No One. If you surf to a website that uses ActiveX or
Java programming, the Internet Explorer blocks the code until you
choose to allow it. Mama says be very careful which sites you choose
to trust.
