Using Your Connections
One more step:
You need to connect your browser to the dial up connection. A browser is
the software program the lets you view web pages. For some, it is
Internet Explorer, for others it is Netscape or AOL (America Online).
Our example uses
the Internet Explorer that comes with Microsoft Windows. Click on the
blue "e" to open the Internet Explorer.
Go to Tools on the menu bar and select Internet Options. The
Browser has a half dozen tabs. Select the one that says Connections.
Confirm that your new Dial Up Network connection is the default. Also,
make sure there that it is set to Dial whenever
a network connection is not present.
